DeCYPher, launched in September 2023, is a 4 -year project funded by the Europeadn Union’s Horizon Europe Framework Programme under the project ID 101081782.  The project is executed by a research consortium under the guidance of its project coordinator, Prof. dr. ir. decypher.bio is owned, operated, and managed by Biofaction on behalf of the research consortium and is committed to respecting the privacy of our web site visitors. Our web site is governed in accordance with current legislation, including the Austrian Telekommunikationsgesetz 2003 (“TKG 2003“) and the General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”), (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).

In the following sections of our privacy policy we want to let you know in detail about what types of data we collect from you, how that data is used, and which services we rely on to deliver the content of our web site.

Personal Information

When you contact us:

When you use the contact form on our web site or e-mail us directly, you’re providing us with personal information, such as your e-mail address, your name or other identifying data. We will use this information for the purpose it was collected, such as replying to queries, clarifications, project inquiries, follow-up etc.

Your information may be used in analysis or evaluation of our work, service, impact or similar areas to maintain and improve our internal standards.

We will not share your information with any other organisations for marketing, market research or commercial purposes and we do not pass on your details to other web sites. Your data will not be shared unless legally required.

When you visit our web site:

Our provider (One.com) automatically saves information regarding network traffic to the web servers, including information about browser type, time of access, operating system, country etc. This information is used for general statistical purposes, and cannot serve to identify individual visitors, unless further data inquiries are made and different data sources compared. We will only take those steps, if we find our web site has been abused.

Cookies

Like all web sites this site uses cookies, which are tiny files a web site asks your browser to store on your computer or mobile device. Cookies can be used in order to collect information about web site traffic, in order to optimise our web presence and services, and to make our web site user friendly. Third party cookies, plugins, embedded media content and social media plugins

We do not currently use social media plugins on this site. If this should change, our privacy policy will be amended to reflect that.

Since in the course of this project, we will create films or media, this site may also embed videos from our YouTube and Vimeo channels. For these embedded videos to work and be playable, YouTube and Vimeo will set cookies, over which we have no control.

If, as mentioned above, you set your browser to decline any cookies, no data or information flow will occur apart from the automated analytics by our provider already mentioned under “When you visit our web site“.
